A stunning alcove transformation in Lymm: Handmade, bespoke units for a modern home

At Jordan Alexander Bespoke we’re passionate about turning ordinary spaces into extraordinary features. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with our wonderful clients in Lymm, to design & craft bespoke alcove units that not only maximised the use of the space but added a stunning focal point to both of their living rooms.

The Project: From Concept to Completion

Our clients came to us looking for a solution to their underutilised alcoves that flanked the chimney breast in both of their living rooms. They wanted something that would not only provide functional storage but also enhance the aesthetic of the space. We spent time during our initial consultation understanding our clients needs & vision. Functionality was key, with a strong desire for hidden storage to reduce clutter but also display shelves to showcase their impressive book collection & personal items.

The Design:

Every project we undertake is tailored to fit our clients unique needs, and this was no exception. Our design focused on three key elements:

1. Maximised storage and display: The lower section of the units feature soft-close cupboards housing electronics, games & kids toys. Above, we installed shelving perfect for displaying decorative pieces, books & family photos.
2. Seamless integration: We used premium quality materials and had the panels sprayed in Farrow & Ball Stirabout for the back room & Stiffkey Blue in the front (selected by our lovely clients) which tied in with the rooms colour palette beautifully. The elegant shaker-style doors provided a timeless, classic touch, aligning with the homes overall aesthetic.
3. Fine Craftsmanship: As always, craftsmanship was at the heart of our work. Every element of the units was handmade in our Cheshire workshop, with precision and attention to detail at every stage.

Installation: Bringing the vision to life!

Our team of joiners worked meticulously to ensure the units were perfectly fitted into the alcoves. By working closely with our clients throughout the process, we were able to make adjustments and tweaks to ensure the final product exceeded their expectations. The finished alcove units are a perfect example of how bespoke furniture can transform a room. Our clients are absolutely thrilled with the results & left a glowing 5* review.
